Seed
Non-GMO, picked by hand
We choose seed by hand for each kit rather than filling from a generic hopper.
Cleveland, Ohio
Seeds In A Cup® began with a simple frustration: starting seeds meant buying four things from three aisles, and most of it went in the bin.
So we put it all in one cup. Seeds picked by hand, real loose potting soil rather than a compressed disc, a planter you can recycle, and a guide written by someone who actually grows the plants.
Every kit is assembled here in Cleveland and made in the USA. Kevin Bruce, who founded the company, still writes the growing guides and answers the email.
How we build them
Seed
We choose seed by hand for each kit rather than filling from a generic hopper.
Soil
Real potting soil. A dried disc is cheaper to ship and worse to grow in.
Guide
Instructions come from growing the plant, not from a supplier’s spec sheet.
Where it goes
Classroom
Germination visible through the side of the cup makes a full STEM unit out of one object.
Memorial
A tree kit planted in someone’s memory, started indoors and moved out when it is ready.
Kitchen
Herbs and greens on the sill, cut the week you need them.
Gifting
Themed four-plant gardens as a corporate gift that is not another branded mug.
No ticket queue. Email reaches the people who assemble the kits.
