How to grow it
STRATIFICATION: Open your Seeds In A Cup kit and remove the seed packet. Place seeds in the provided moistened growing medium inside a sealed bag. Refrigerate at 33-41°F (1-5°C) for 60-90 days. Check moisture biweekly.
PLANTING: After stratification, fill your Seeds In A Cup container with the provided growing medium. Plant seeds ½ inch deep. Water gently until moist. Place in a warm, bright location (65-75°F) or under a grow light for 14-16 hours/day. Germination typically occurs within 14-30 days.
SEEDLING CARE: Ash seedlings grow vigorously. When seedlings develop 3-4 sets of true leaves, transition to a larger pot. Transplant outdoors in USDA Zones 3-9 in spring after last frost. Choose a full-sun location. Water deeply once per week during the first growing season. Growth of 2-3 feet per year is typical.
