How to grow it
STRATIFICATION: Open your Seeds In A Cup kit and remove the seed packet. Clean any fruit residue from seeds. Soak seeds in water for 24 hours. Place in the provided moistened growing medium inside a sealed bag. Refrigerate at 33-41°F (1-5°C) for 90-120 days. Check moisture biweekly.
PLANTING: After stratification, fill your Seeds In A Cup container with the provided growing medium. Plant seeds ½ inch deep. Water gently until evenly moist. Place in a warm, bright location (65-75°F) or under a grow light for 14-16 hours/day. Germination typically occurs within 14-42 days.
SEEDLING CARE: Black Cherry seedlings are vigorous growers. Move to full sun exposure as soon as possible. When seedlings reach 6 inches, transplant to a larger pot. Plant outdoors in USDA Zones 3-9 in spring. Water deeply weekly during the first year. Safety note: keep wilted leaves away from pets and livestock.
