How to grow it
STRATIFICATION: Open your Seeds In A Cup kit. Place spruce seeds in the provided moistened growing medium in a sealed bag. Refrigerate at 33-41°F (1-5°C) for 30-60 days.
PLANTING: After stratification, fill your Seeds In A Cup container with the provided growing medium. Press seeds gently onto the surface — cover with only ⅛ inch of medium (spruce seeds need some light). Mist thoroughly. Place in a cool, bright location (60-70°F) or under a grow light for 14-16 hours/day.
SEEDLING CARE: Spruce seedlings are tiny and slow-growing at first — this is completely normal. Keep soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Avoid hot, dry conditions. When seedlings reach 3-4 inches (which may take 1-2 years), transplant outdoors in USDA Zones 2-6. Full sun to light shade. Your future Christmas tree is growing!
